Steam hoses

EPDM saturated-steam hoses with steel-wire braid for cleaning and process lines up to +164 C.

In short

Kauczer steam hoses carry saturated steam up to +164 C for cleaning, sterilising and process heating. A heat-resistant EPDM tube and cover resist hot condensate and weathering, while a high-tensile steel-wire braid holds pressure and prevents collapse at temperature. Bores from 13 to 25 mm suit hose stations, jacketed lines and mobile steam cleaning.

How to choose a steam hose

Steam service is safety-critical: match the temperature, pressure and end-fitting strategy carefully.

  • Tube and cover — heat-resistant EPDM for saturated steam and hot condensate.
  • Reinforcement — high-tensile steel-wire braid to hold pressure at +164 C without collapse.
  • Working pressure — typically up to 18 bar; never exceed the rated saturated-steam class.
  • Fittings — use bolted or interlocking clamps designed for steam, with regular inspection.

Applications

  • Tank and line steam cleaning
  • Sterilising and CIP support
  • Process steam heating
  • Mobile steam stations

Why Kauczer

Every steam hose is rated, marked and pressure-tested. We advise on safe fitting practice and supply assemblies built for steam duty.

Frequently asked questions

Our saturated-steam hoses are rated to +164 C with EPDM tube and cover and steel-wire reinforcement. Never operate above the marked saturated-steam class.

At steam temperatures textile loses strength, so a high-tensile steel-wire braid is used to hold pressure and stop the bore collapsing when hot.

Use bolted or interlocking steam clamps rated for the temperature, fitted to the maker's torque, and inspect them regularly. We supply ready steam assemblies on request.
