Kauczer steam hoses carry saturated steam up to +164 C for cleaning, sterilising and process heating. A heat-resistant EPDM tube and cover resist hot condensate and weathering, while a high-tensile steel-wire braid holds pressure and prevents collapse at temperature. Bores from 13 to 25 mm suit hose stations, jacketed lines and mobile steam cleaning.
How to choose a steam hose
Steam service is safety-critical: match the temperature, pressure and end-fitting strategy carefully.
- Tube and cover — heat-resistant EPDM for saturated steam and hot condensate.
- Reinforcement — high-tensile steel-wire braid to hold pressure at +164 C without collapse.
- Working pressure — typically up to 18 bar; never exceed the rated saturated-steam class.
- Fittings — use bolted or interlocking clamps designed for steam, with regular inspection.
