Gasket profiles

Industrial gasket profiles for flange, cover and panel sealing, available in a wide range of cross-sections.

In short

Gasket profiles are extruded or moulded rubber sections placed between mating parts to seal joints against gases, liquids and dust. They are chosen by cross-section — square, rectangular, U, T or hollow — to match the groove and the clamping force of the assembly. Material is selected for the media in contact, from EPDM for weather to NBR for oils.

Industrial gasket profiles

A correctly specified gasket profile fills surface irregularities under load and maintains contact pressure across the joint. The right section depends on the gap, the available compression and whether the seal sits in a groove or on a flat face.

  • Cross-sections: square, rectangular, U-channel, T-section and hollow tubular
  • Compounds: EPDM, NBR, silicone or neoprene to suit media and temperature
  • Supplied as cut lengths, coils or welded endless frames

They are used on equipment access covers, electrical panels, filter housings, tanks and flanged connections that must stay leak-tight in service.

Frequently asked questions

It is matched to the groove geometry and the available clamping force: the profile must compress enough to seal without over-stressing the rubber or the fasteners.

Yes. Ends can be vulcanised or adhesive-bonded into closed frames sized to the cover or panel, giving a continuous seal with no gap at the join.

NBR (nitrile) resists mineral oils, fuels and greases, so it is the usual choice for hydraulic, gearbox and engine covers where EPDM would swell.
