Agriculture & industry
Farms and industrial sites mostly move diesel, heating oil and lubricants, so the hose needs an oil-resistant tube and cover that will not swell, harden or crack in the field. For diesel and oil transfer choose a hose rated for hydrocarbons with the right working pressure for the pump; for petrol-handling tasks select a dedicated antistatic petrol hose instead.
In agriculture and general industry the same hose may be dragged across a yard, exposed to sun and frost, and used to refuel a tractor one day and a generator the next. Durability and oil resistance matter more than anything fancy — the question is whether the tube and cover can take continuous contact with diesel and oil without degrading.
Typical applications
- On-site refuelling of tractors, harvesters, plant and standby generators from a bowser or IBC.
- Oil and lubricant transfer in workshops and maintenance bays.
- Irrigation-adjacent fuel feeds for diesel pumps and field engines.
What buyers should check
- Oil-resistant tube and cover — both inner and outer layers must resist diesel and oil, not just the inside.
- Working pressure in bar — match it to the transfer pump so the hose is not the weak point.
- Abrasion and weather resistance — a tough cover survives being dragged over gravel and left outdoors.
- Fuel type — for petrol, switch to a dedicated antistatic petrol hose; a plain oil hose is not the right choice for petrol.
Match diameter and length to the flow you need; an over-long, under-diameter hose starves the pump and wastes time during refuelling.

Frequently asked questions
Yes. An oil-resistant diesel and oil hose is built for both, as long as the working pressure suits your pump.
No. Petrol is more aggressive and generates static, so use a dedicated antistatic petrol hose rather than a plain diesel/oil hose.
Match the hose bore and length to the pump flow rate. Too narrow or too long restricts flow and slows the job.
A quality cover resists abrasion, UV and weather, but storing the hose drained and out of direct sun extends its life considerably.
